WEEK 3-4
I couldn’t do much work last week because I was ill but I still managed to produced some work.
I did my storyboard, with very simple limes and silhouettes . I turned that storyboard into an animatic, but Procreate didn’t let me play with the timing very well, so in today’s lesson I imported into Premiere and sorted it out. What I had previously was a bit more rushed version and in this new one I feel it flows better and conveys the relaxed and peaceful feeling that I am aiming for with this short film.
I also have the concept art for the project. It’s basically the bathroom setting where this actions are going to take place. Although I have to modify the colour palette and try different tone combinations and also see if the style is doable. I tried to do a more illustrative technique with many lines and mix of colours to create more interesting shapes and textures, but for an animation, it might be too detailed.
About the sound effects, as I mentioned previously I want to have a constant water sound, eco effects and some other more which I still have to think about.
This week I’m going to focus on finding those sounds and create a base animation where we can see what it’s going to be about for the critic, but also start develop the characters. Even though I’m planning a minimalist style for them, I even didn’t want them to have a face but that would make it more different to relate and to transmit emotion, so I will have to decide on that.
