WEEK 1

We started the week with the new animation project. Bunny explained us what it was going to be about and set us the task to record some sounds around uni. My group composed by Elizabeth, Jade and I went together and start recording. We first did some basic ones like footsteps or indistinctive chatter, and then start adding some more experimental ones that could reproduce the sound of other actions, like hitting a metallic fence sounded like a storm or stepping on a branch sounded like a bone breaking.

In class we were also given an emotion, mine was terror.

After that we headed to Kettle's Yard. We visited first the exhibition and then the house.

I liked the paintings in the first location but I much more enjoyed visiting the house. I more keen on seeing how everything was layout and the actual design of the house. Everything in there was very aesthetic and even the light was fantastic. I took many pictures and did some sketches. I asked the guide for information on a few pieces and starting to decide my two selected objects.

I still haven't decided what exactly I want to do or what objects I am going to based it on.

The first idea that came into my mind was to do a scene of someone at night watching a scary film on the tv and the objects around them started to look more and more terrifying, but finally the light would get turn on and all the objects back to normal. Using the objects from the museum.

But also because this time we don't need to create an animation with a storyline, I wanted to explore that possibility too.
