WEEK 8

Second week working on the Live project. After listening to Diogo's reviews, we carried on with our work.
In this lesson we focus on finishing the storyboards and turning them into animatics. Rachel also showed us how to use the tool for lip syncing on TV Paint, which we will be using for this animation project.
Me personally I was feeling a bit stuck with my idea since I wasn't very happy with the information that was said in the audio sounds about the turtles, but finally I came up with the final story (which may change whilst im working on it).
My animation is going to show a busy Chinese food market in which a little mouse tells us how Arakan Forest turtles only mate once a year and have eggs which take up to 100 days to hatch.
After that we see how a male turtle walks through the crowded streets looking for food and finally stops when he finds a box of carrots at his height. As he goes to take his first bite of this tasty vegetable, the carrot moves, preventing him from eating it. Confused, he looks up and sees that the one who snatched the carrot from him is a female turtle, and the two instantly fall in love, leaving the market together. Next we see the happy couple asleep on hundreds of eggs beneath them and the crunching of one of them makes them open their eyes, to see the birth of their first hatchling.
After deciding that this was what I wanted to do and I had chosen my narrator I was going to start with it's character design but instead I finished the storyboard to be able to put it on an animatic.
Here is the rough storyboard.

This week I'll work on the character design for the 3 character, (the turtle one is almost finished) and also think about backgrounds.
Next week we won't have a lesson due to the trip to Manchester, but I'd still go to uni to progress on my work.
